There are rules and regulations relating to Non-EU students. Please contact the College admission office for more information. Students applying from abroad will be sent a conditional offer after assessing your eligibility by the admission board. An admission letter will be sent upon successful completion of admission procedures.
Visa Application
For students wishing to obtain Entry Clearance before coming to Britain, the following guidelines have been drawn up after consultation with Embassy officials.
- Letter from a U.K college confirming your admission on a course. Please ensure that college is approved by DfES
- A Passport
- Evidence to show that you have adequate fund to support your stay in the U.K. (bank statements, Pay slips etc)
- Original relevance academic/professional certificates.
- Evidence to show that you intent to leave the U.K on completion of your course. (eg.
- Letter from employer confirming your future employment with the employer).

The cost of living is estimated to be about £6000 per annum. This includes accommodation, food, bills, entertainment etc. Students should ensure that they have adequate funds to support themselves whole in the U.K. As a student, you are
eligible for a number of discounts in shops, restaurants, clubs, and public transport.
Helping you when you arrive
Overseas students arriving in the U.K for the first time may require a pick up from the airport to your accommodation. Our representative will be happy to make your first experience in the U.K a pleasant one. Student wishing to be picked up from the airport must inform the college of the following:
1. Airline and the flight number
2. Arrival airport and the date of arrival.
These information must be given to the college two weeks before the arrival date.
Medical Care
Where overseas students enrol for a course duration of more than six months, the college advise them to register with a Medical Doctor (GP). The college provides list of Doctors to register with and letter to help you register with those GPs.
International Student Advisor
The college has a special student adviser dedicated to assisting International students settle into the college. If you have any problems, concerns, doubts or complications during your course, such as finance, immigration matters,visas, problems or homesickness you can get expert help from our college solicitors. The college run Free English course for those students who require test of English before commencing a course with the college.
Student Union
Our student Union, like other Unions across institutions in the country, acts as a service provider for all students Enroled at the college as well as performing the role of being a representative body. The Union aims to represent all voices. As a student with BMTI you are automatically represented by the Union, so it is fundamental that we meet your thoughts and needs. |
